On the evening of November 15, 2024, a collision between two motorcycles in the town’s Ghosi area sparked a heated exchange. Local police officers, including Circle Officer Dinesh Dutt Mishra and Station House Officer Rajkumar Singh, arrived on the scene to control the situation but were injured in the ensuing melee. Mau’s Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mahesh Singh Attri commented on the gravity of the incident, confirming that roadblocks were put up and stones were thrown by some of the agitators.
