CM Yogi Adityanath says Overconfidence hurt our expectations in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh !
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed regret over the mistakes in the lok sabha elections 2024,In the recent 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 33 seats in Uttar Pradesh, which is less than the 62 seats it won in 2019. The Congress won 6 seats, while its INDIA ally Samajwadi Party secured 37 seats from UP.
This was the first major meeting of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh after the Lok Sabha polls in Lucknow, Sunday, July 14, 2024. Meeting held at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University in the presence of BJP president JP Nadda.
On Saturday, in by-election of 13 constituencies of 7 states, INDIA bloc won 10, while the BJP managed to secured 2 and an Independent pocketed one. The Election Commission has not yet announced the schedule of assembly by-elections in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh.
While addresing the state working committee meeting CM Yogi Adityanath said :
Addressing the state working committee meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party achieved significant success in Uttar Pradesh in 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2022 by continuously putting pressure on the opposition”.
Adityanath called upon all party members to immediately become active for the upcoming by-elections in 10 assembly constituencies and he also called upon Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs, MLAs, MLCs, District Panchayat Presidents, Mayors, Block Chiefs, Chairmans and others to start preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections from today itself.
The Chief Minister expressed regret over the mistakes in the 2024 elections and said, “In 2024, the BJP managed to garner the same vote percentage as in the previous elections, but vote-shifting and overconfidence hurt our hopes. The opposition, who was earlier on a ventilator, has now got some oxygen”
He added, “Today, with your cooperation, we have been successful in making UP mafia free”. He added, “The wait of 500 years also ended, when Shri Ramlala was seated in his temple in Ayodhya” .
CM Yogi Adityanath further commented that earlier the roads remained deserted during Moharram. But “Today it is not even known that Moharram is happening. In the name of Tajiya, houses were demolished, Peepal trees were cut, wires were removed. Today it is said that the huts and wires of the poor will not be touched. Our clear instructions are to celebrate the festival as per the rules or stay at home. BJP has demonstrated rule by law and good governance across the country”.
The Chief Minister said the world knows that “if our society is scattered, it can be easily made a victim, but if united, even the biggest forces will bow before it. The sin of division on the basis of caste was committed in this election. We should be careful and alert. We must make maximum use of social media platforms to counter false narratives. We should bring out BJP’s views on great SC personalities”.
He stressed that BJP leaders and workers should be hyperactive on social media and respond to any rumor immediately also emphasized that they have to hoist the BJP’s flag once again in the state.
