Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) are a major highlight this year, ensuring that stations are well-equipped with drinking water, proper lighting, wheelchair access, and other amenities for a smooth voting experience. Additionally, dedicated transport and assistance services have been arranged for persons with disabilities, including nearly 24,000 registered PwD voters in Mumbai, backed by thousands of volunteers and mobility resources.

Maharashtra’s Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative has gone into overdrive to engage citizens. This includes dynamic efforts such as street plays, flash mobs, and cycle rallies to make voting awareness visible and interactive. Celebrities and influencers are lending their voice to campaigns like “Vote Kar, Mumbaikar!” to motivate the electorate through videos and social media posts. Marketing efforts have been amped up in bustling areas, featuring posters and banners to keep the election on top of people’s minds.

For example, discounts on goods, meals, and movie tickets will be available for voters showing their inked fingers between November 20 and 22. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar also affirmed that demands to replace Maharashtra’s Director General of Police would be handled according to legal precedents, emphasizing fair and lawful election management.
