International agency MSF urges the United Nations to stop cruelty in Gaza
Digital News Guru International Desk: Israel-Hamas has been at war for more than fifteen days, and now the situation in Gaza is getting worse as Israel is attacking Gaza continuously.
In the war, civilians are facing the worst, as they are mostly affected by the war. But now Israel has started attacking hospitals, which is against international humanitarian law. Medicine Sans Frontiers (MSF), an international humanitarian medical agency, urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to stop this horror in Gaza. According to international humanitarian law, hospitals get special protection during war, and Israel is bombing hospitals, which has killed many patients and medical workers.
The International President of Medicine Sans Frontiers, Christos Christou, sent a letter to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and said, “We are watching as hospitals are turning into ruins and morgues” and added that people are suffering from injuries as children has faced severe burns and are without anesthesia, and the situation is very critical in Gaza.

This agency was the outcome of the Biafran of the Nigerian Civil War by a small group of French doctors, so it is a non-governmental organization.

International Humanitarian Law and its violation by Israel
International humanitarian law is a set of rules designed for the protection of civilians, humanitarians, and medical workers during any war or armed conflict anywhere in the world. In the ongoing war, Israel has violated many rules of international humanitarian law, such as there are serious allegations against the Israel of using prohibited weapons.
It is said that they have used white phosphorus substances in Gaza, which are highly harmful for human tissues. On October 17, this year, Israel also attacked the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, in which many people died along with medical workers. According to international humanitarian law, hospitals get special protection during armed conflict or war. The World Health Organization has also recorded that at least 51 attacks took place on health facilities from October 7–17 in Gaza, which were witnessed by the Medicine Sans Frontiers.
United Nations Security Council on Israel-Hamas War
Last month, in November, the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution for the ‘humanitarian pause’ in Gaza. On November 22, another resolution, 2712, was passed by the United Nations Security Council, which calls for immediate release of the hostages kept by the Hamas on October 7.
It’s been fifty-three days since the Israel-Hamas war, and Israel shows no sign of stopping. Due to the ongoing war, the situation in Gaza is very serious, as people are without electricity, without medical facilities, etc. Many civilians had died, including children. After witnessing this horror, Medicine Sans Frontiers now calls on the United Nations Security Council for help in Gaza.
