And ahead of their wedding, a three-day grand pre-wedding celebration is set to take place in Gujarat’s Jamnagar from March 1 to 3.
Anant Ambani, the son of Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant are all set to get married in 2024. It is one of the much-awaited wedding celebrations the Ambani family is waiting for. Apart from this, Bollywood and Indian celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, among others are also expected to be present at the event.

In an exclusive chat with Anuj Singhal of CNBC Awaaz, Anant Ambani, Director at Reliance Industries, discussed the reasons behind choosing Jamnagar as the wedding venue.
“My grandmother is from Jamnagar. My mother has built the whole city. They have built the whole thing brick by brick. I have spent a lot of time here as a child. Mumbai is my home, but my heart is in Jamnagar. My parents and grandmother also suggested that we pick Jamnagar as the venue. It also gives me an opportunity to celebrate with my colleagues, and the other people I work with,” Anant said.

Apart from this, news is that for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar a team of 21 chefs, including 20 women, have been flown down from Indore. The team will whip over 2,500 dishes for the three-day festivities. The menu is expected to be truly global.
About Anant and Radhika:
Anant Ambani is the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, the Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation. Radhika is the younger daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO of Encore Healthcare, and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant.
Anant and Radhika, who have been childhood friends, got engaged in a traditional roka ceremony performed at the Shrinathji Temple at Nathdwara in Rajasthan in December 2022. Their Gol Dhana ceremony took place on January 19, 2023.

Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani have known each other for a few years and got engaged in a traditional ceremony at the Ambani residence, Antilia, in Mumbai. The engagement was followed by a series of functions, such as Gol Dhana, Chunari Vidhi, and ring exchange, which were attended by the close family and friends of the couple.
