Vaibhav Gupta from Kanpur wins the trophy of Indian Idol 14 and takes 25 lakh prize money with car to home !

Kanpur ka tarana Vaibhav Gupta from kanpur has emerged as a champion of Indian Idol season 14.Vaibhav impressed the judges from the word go with his power packed performance during the audition and garnered praise from notable celebrity guests who graced the show as well.

Indian Idol is one of the most popular reality singing shows. It has gained immense success consistently on television. The previous season was a huge hit and the audience connected to every contestant. It was difficult to pick the winner of the show. This time the makers have brought in two new judges who would join Vishal Dadlani as the judge of the show. Kumar Sanu and Shreya Ghoshal are back as judges on the show. And where Vaibhav Gupta has been declared the winner of Indian Idol 14. Shubhodeep is 1st runner up 2nd runner up is Piyush.

What Vaibhav said after lifting the trophy? 

Expressing is a happiness after lifting the trophy  Vaibhav said that “I feel good to call myself the winner of Indian Idol 14. People have loved me a lot. Dreams are coming true, this is just the start. God willing, I wish to enter Bollywood now. With the love and appreciation I was getting, I was hopeful that I could win this. Especially, when Mahesh Bhatt whistled for me, I loved that moment. I keep playing it in my head.”

He added, “I am grateful to every single person who believed in me, be it the judges who guided me with their wisdom . But above all, my deepest gratitude goes to the amazing audience whose unwavering support fuelled my determination and made me give it my all. Thank you for embracing my journey, for voting for me, for cheering me on, and for making me feel like a true idol.”

Prize money received by Vaibhav Gupta:

Vaibhav Gupta was awarded with a cheque of INR 25 Lakhs from Sony Entertainment Television and commemorating his arduous journey, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., who is the Co-Presenting Sponsor on the show also presented the brand new ‘Hot and Techy Brezza’ to the winner. Contestants Shubhadeep Das Chowdhury and Piyush Panwar were declared as the first and second runners-up respectively and were bestowed with a trophy and a cheque of INR 5 Lakhs each. Ananya Pal was declared as the 3rd runners-up and was bestowed a cheque of INR 3 Lakhs.

First and second runner up and top 6 finalist of Indian Idol season 14:

The first runner up was Subhadeep, second runner up Piyush received Rs 5 lakh prize money and the third runner up Ananya Pal received Rs 3 lakh prize money.

The Top 6 Finalists  are ‘Kolkata ki Awaaz’ Shubhadeep Das Chowdhury, ‘Kolkata Ki Shaan’ Ananya Pal, ‘Faridabad ki Dhadkan’ Adya Mishra, ‘Kanpur ka Tarana’ Vaibhav Gupta, ‘Jaipur ka Sur Samrat’ Piyush Panwar and ‘Bengaluru ki Muskaan’ Anjana Padmanabhan.

What other judges said on last day of Indian Idol season 14:

The acclaimed playback singer Kumar Sanu, one of the show’s three judges, said: “Watching Vaibhav lift the trophy gives me immense happiness. From the moment I first saw his performance, I recognised his immense potential.

Shreya Ghoshal, spoke about Vaibhav and his talents. She said, “Right from the audition, Vaibhav has shown versatility and throughout the competition, he has kept surprising us with his performance. Vaibhav’s journey on the show has been remarkable, consistent, and inspiring. I truly wish him all the very best and pray he fulfills his dreams.”

Vishal Dadlani, the third judge, concluded by noting that Vaibhav showed “versatility in his vocals”, and that it has been “incredible to see him perform live”.  Vaibhav impressed the judges from the word go with his power packed performance during the audition and garnered praise from notable celebrity guests who graced the show as well.
