Snowstorm hits Ukraine on Sunday, kills 10 people
Digital News Guru International Desk: Ukraine is facing heavy snowstorm since Sunday due to which the situation is alarming.
As we all know that Ukraine is already going through their toughest time due to ongoing war with Russia but between all these a new problem has come in the way of Ukraine which has created chaos in many regions of Ukraine.
In the current situation of snowstorm the worst hit part of the Ukraine is the southern region. The people are facing many problems in which 10 people have died. According to Ukrainian meteorologist, it is one of the most intense storm in the decades as the speed of winds has recorded on Sunday which is upto 150 kilo metres per hour.
The situation of people in Ukraine due to amid storm
The situation of people are getting serious due to bad weather as people are going through very tough times. Already ten people have died and twenty-three have injured which also includes the children, the news shared by the internal affair minister of Ukraine ‘Ihor Klymenko’ on the telegram app. The worst affected part in Ukraine is the south region like Odesa and Mykolaiv.
People are living in dark as electricity has been cutt off in many settlements of across eleven region. Due to amid chaos emergency services are providing to many people as rescue teams has rescued nearly 2300 people from the Odesa region.

What is snow storm and its causes
Sometimes when heavy snowfall started but if carried by strong winds it causes snow storm. Snow storm is also known from its other name which is blizzard. Blizzard carries a large amount of blowing snow with strong winds greater than 35 miles per hour (56 kilometres per hour) along with visibility of less than one-fourth mile (0.4 kilometres) for at least three hours which can be a dangerous.
Basically the snowstorm occurred due to the rising of moist air in a low pressure area. According to scientists due to climate change temperature is rising continuously which results blizzard which could become more extreme.
Reaction of Ukrainian President over the situation
Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Rescue teams and the local authorities to handle the situation in the difficult hours as he shared it on the X ( formerly known as Twitter) and said, ” I am grateful to all rescuers, utility workers, and the National Police, local authorities, and engineers working around help to help people”. He also asked the authorities to allocate funds for the survivors.
Impact of snow storms in Russia
Ukraine is hit by the snowstorms on Sunday which has created chaos in the country. Ukraine is already engaged in war with Russia but due to snow storms Russia is also facing many problems. The southern region of Russia also hit by the storms , the regions are Dagestan, Krasnodar and Rostov along with Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Crimea which are occupied Territories of Ukraine.
The war between Ukraine and Russia did not end yet the two years has been spent.
Ukraine is already facing many problems due to ongoing war like social, political instability, economic issues and now. this snowstorms has created a new problem for the country.
