Elon Musk has launched a new AI model ‘Grok’
Digital News Guru International Desk:- Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla company and Space ‘X’ has introduced a new AI model named ‘Grok’ which is said to be different from ChatGPT on Saturday. Grok is a debut AI model of Elon Musk which is available only to the limited number of audience. Grok will be corporated with ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter. Grok is said to modelled after “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”.
What is Grok Chatbot? Grok is an artificial intelligence (AI) tool, introduced by Elon Musk, that is designed to answer almost any question with a sense of humor and wit. Grok has real-time access to information via the ‘X’ platform, which is a massive advantage over other tools. Grok has an innovative approach to solving the problems that will be available to all ‘X’ Premium subscribers, which costs $16 per month.
Users can sign up for a waitlist for a chance to use the bot. Elon Musk has posted an image where the AI tool requested to provide a step-by-step guide on making cocaine, and the chatbot seems to be trained to dodge sensitive questions. But with its sense of humor, it responds that such activities are illegal and are not encouraged. According to a statement from xAI, Grok is supposed to have “a bit of wit” and “a rebellious task.”
On the initial test based on school math problems and Python coding tasks, “Grok surpassed all other models in its compute class, including ChatGPT 3.5 and Inflection-1,” said the company, which seems to be a challenger to OpenAI and Inflection. Elon Musk, speaking to the Prime Minister of the UK,Rishi Sunak, has said, “There will come a point where no job is needed.” The company also advocates not using Grok if you hate humor.
Grok vs. ChatGPT: Grok is based on Grok-1 and has access to the internet with real-time information, while ChatGPT is based on GPT, which was designed by OpenAI. ChatGPT has two versions: basic and premium. The basic version is free but lacks real-time access information, while the premium version offers real-time access but costs $20 per month. Grok can answer a wide range of questions, serves as a research assistant, and helps users get quick information, process data, and generate new ideas.
As a result, it has shown impressive results in comparison to many models, including ChatGPT 3.5 and Inflection-1, but falls behind GPT-4. Grok has also performed well in the 2023 Hungarian national high school finals in mathematics. Grok-1 has trained on a smaller amount of data and can surpass models that have been trained on a larger amount of data and also require higher competition capabilities.
ChatGPT is trained on a large and diverse dataset, including Common Crawl, Web text, books, and Wikimedia. Consequently, the Grok-1 is more capable than GPT 3.5 but not as capable as the latest model of GPT-4, the model of GPT currently available on the market.
How to access Grok Chatbot:- Currently it is not available to the general public as it is in early testing. It is exists on the early beta phase but according to the company it is available only to the subscribers to the X’s top tier subscription service. X recently introduced two subscription plans as one is $ 16 per month Premium tier offering an ad-free experience and $ 3 per month basic tier.
While X and xAI operate separately, they maintain a close collaboration with xAI. There are some privacy concerns also raising about the Grok Chatbot that the technology may expose sensitive information about individuals, organisations.
