Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a state-of-the-art Electric Receiving Sub-Station (RSS) at Park Street near Central Vista — a key milestone in strengthening the power infrastructure for the Delhi Metro network.
This modern sub-station, developed by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), is designed to ensure uninterrupted and reliable electricity supply to major metro corridors — particularly the Airport Line, the Violet Line (Line-6) and the upcoming Central Vista Metro corridor connecting Indraprastha to R K Ashram Marg.
Why This Matters: Reliable Metro Power for Commuters
Delhi’s growing metro system — one of the most heavily used public transport networks in the country — depends on robust electrical infrastructure to maintain seamless operations. The newly inaugurated RSS is part of that backbone and will:
