CTET 2024 Notification Out:

Every year, the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted twice at the national level for aspirants who want to secure a teaching job in the government sector. Now CTET Exam is to be conducted by the CBSE in offline mode. The CTET Notification for July Exam has been released on for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)-2024 on the official website on 7th March 2024. CTET 2024 is the 19th Edition of the CTET Exam for examining the candidates for their teaching eligibility. Applicants interested in taking forward their careers in the teaching sector for primary and upper primary classes have to qualify for the CTET Exam. Based on their CTET Exam scores, the candidates can apply for vacancies in various government and government-aided schools.

Documents required to fill  CTET 2024 application form:

Candidates should keep the following things ready beforehand while filling out the CTET 2024 application form:

  • Valid Email ID
  • Mobile number
  • Details about identity proof- Passport/Aadhaar card/voter ID/ration card
  • Scanned images of the candidates photograph and signature as per the specified format
  • Class 10 and 12 educational details
  • Debit or credit card/net banking details.

CTET 2024 Application Fee:

The application fee for a single paper in CTET is ₹1000 for belonging to the General/OBC(NCL) category, while those from the SC/ST and PH categories need to pay only ₹500. For those applying for both Paper I and II, the fee is ₹1200 for General/OBC(NCL) and ₹600 for SC/ST and PH candidates. They will be able to pay the required amount using a debit card, credit card, NET banking or UPI.

CTET 2024 Exam Date:

The date for the Teacher Eligibility Test for July 2024 Session is announced officially by the Central Board Of Secondary Education. Each individual who are going to apply to participate in the exam need to know it may held on 7 July 2024 for Paper I and II from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm and 9:30 am to 12:00 noon, respectively, with an exam time duration of 02 hours and 30 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria:

CTET Primary Level (Class I to V): Eligibility with Code July 2024

1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR

2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR

3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII): Eligibility with Code July 2024

1. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

2. At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

7. Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.

8. Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

CTET 2024 Registration:

Registration for CTET for July 2024 Session is commence at https://ctet.nic.in/ and last for approximately four weeks. Eligible candidates can visit the official website during this period to complete the registration process by providing necessary details, uploading documents, and making the required fee payment. Candidates can fill the CTET online form 2024 by following the given steps:

  • Visit the official website- ctet.nic.in.
  • Click on Apply for CTET 2024 link.
  • For new users, click on the “New Registration” button to register yourself. If not, enter your information and click the “Sign In” button.
  • Fill in the required credentials like the candidate’s name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, etc.
  • Choose the exam centre and medium of instruction
  • Enter your Aadhar card number or PAN, choose gender and category, select the status of employment, and fill in the status of the qualifying exam.
  • Now fill out the educational details. Enter your communication address, phone number, and email address.
  • Upload a photo and your signature.
  • Now the page will redirect to the payment.
  • Make payment through Credit Card/Debit Card/E-Challan Click the “Submit” button.
  • Take a printout of the confirmation page for your records.
