Couple of Agra nearly got divorce over ₹30 lipstick !
A married couple of Agra sought divorce here after their argument over a lipstick escalated. The problems started when the husband bought lipstick worth Rs 30 instead of the Rs 10 lipstick his wife asked. The fight ended in a physical altercation and the wife left for her own home. Then they approached a Family Counselling Centre when their dispute over lipstick escalated into a physical fight.
Wife said 30₹ lipstick was too expensive:
The wife said that the lipstick costing Rs 30 was too expensive and that the fight was caused due to concerns about the financial situation at home. Satish said that after listening to both the sides, he made both of them understand the issues and reached a settlement. He also stated that the husband finally agreed to buy the lipstick of wife’s choice.
Reportedly, the wife took the issue The incident was dramatic and saw the wife leave for her maternal home after the husband gifted her a lipstick of comparatively higher price. Reportedly, the wife took the issue to the Etmadpur police station. It was later that the police sought the Family Counselling Centre to look into the matter.

This bizarre incident was brought to light by Satish Khariwar, a counsellor at the Family Counseling Centre in Agra. He stated that the woman is from Etmadpur and the husband is from Mathura. They got married two years ago.
As per News18 Hindi, Satish Khirwar, the counsellor at Agra’s Family Counseling Centre, said that the women belonged to the Etmadpur police station area while the man was from Mathura. They got married two years ago. Khirwar added that while he was counselling the couple, the wife said that the Rs 30 lipstick was too expensive and she was concerned about the household’s finances. Khirwar said that he urged the couple to understand each other’s point of view. The husband then agreed to buy his wife the lipstick of her choice. After counselling, the couple reached a compromise and reunited.
Another case:
This is not the only incident where make-up products played a role in pushing a couple to the brink of divorce. Back in February, a woman – also from Agra – sought a divorce after an argument over her mother-in-law using her make-up products. She claimed that her mother-in-law would routinely use her make-up products without her permission.

Two sisters, residents of the Malpura police station area, were married eight months ago to two brothers living in Fatehabad. The younger boy is a shoe artisan, while the elder one works as a tile installer. The elder daughter-in-law alleges that her mother-in-law takes out her cream powder from the makeup box and applies it. Even while staying at home, she roams around wearing make-up.
Woman seeked divorce from her husband after an argument with her mother-in-law. The woman claimed that her mother-in-law would routinely use her make-up products without her permission. The woman told the family Counselling Centre of the Agra police that her mother-in-law would dress up and wear makeup inside the house. The woman then approached the Malpura Police Station.The woman said she had a verbal fight with her mother-in-law after she forbade her from wearing makeup while staying inside the house.
According to the woman, her mother-in-law told the son about the incident and her husband also started abusing her. The situation escalated and the woman and her sister were thrown out of the house.
For two months, the sisters have been living at their maternal home:
On Sunday, the woman and her mother-in-law were called to the Parivar Paramarsh Kendra and given counselling, said Amit Gaur, a counsellor.Gaur said the woman was adamant about seeking divorce as, according to her, the matter was no longer limited to the use of her cosmetics without her permission. She said her husband was subjecting her to domestic abuse as he only listened to his mother.
