Amaravati to Become Global Entertainment Hub with Creatorland Launch
In a landmark move poised to transform India’s digital and creative landscape, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced the establishment of ‘Creatorland’—the nation’s first Transmedia Entertainment City—in Amaravati. This ambitious project aims to generate over 25,000 jobs and attract significant foreign direct investment (FDI), positioning Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for creative and digital industries.
Andhra’s Amaravati Set to Become India’s Creative Capital with ‘Creatorland’
The announcement was made during the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) held in Mumbai from May 1 to 4, 2025. The Andhra Pradesh government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CreativeLand Asia (CLA) to conceptualize and operationalize Creatorland. The project is expected to attract investments ranging from 8,000 to 10,000 crore over the next five to six years.
“With an aim to create 25,000 jobs, the project is set to attract FDI, bring large-scale development, and empower local talent to ‘Create in AP & Create for the World’,” Naidu stated on social media platform X.
Key Features of Creatorland
Creatorland is envisioned as a world-class creative township that will serve as a hub for various sectors, including:
- Virtual Production Studios: Equipped with AI-based real-time rendering and volumetric capture technologies.
- Immersive Theme Parks: Designed to offer cutting-edge entertainment experiences.
- Gaming Zones and E-Sports Arenas: Catering to the rapidly growing gaming industry.
- Global Cinema Co-Production Zones: Facilitating international film collaborations.
- AI-Driven Storytelling: Integrating artificial intelligence into content creation processes.
- Creatorland Academy: A dedicated institution to skill youth in areas like VFX, AI, gaming, and immersive storytelling.
The Creatorland Academy aims to skill over 10,000 youth annually, focusing on next-generation skills and content creation.

The MoU signing ceremony witnessed the presence of key stakeholders, including Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism and Culture Kandula Durgesh, CEO of AP State Tourism Amrapali Kata, and CLA Founder and Chairman Sajan Raj Kurup. Global entertainment leaders such as David Unger (Artists International), Andy Orrick (Studio Belong), Jani Guest (Creators Inc.), and Nicolas Granatino (Tara Gaming) were also present, indicating the project’s international appeal.
Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh emphasized that Creatorland is more than an infrastructure project; it’s a commitment to building an ecosystem for talent, innovation, and tourism. “Creatorland will transform Andhra Pradesh into a cultural and economic powerhouse by combining entertainment, digital storytelling, and world-class production infrastructure,” he stated.
