Ankit Tiwari is an Indian playback singer, live performer ,music director, and composer. He began his career in the music field when he met Pradeep Sarkar. He got a chance to work on jingles and started composing background music for television programmes. Eventually, he got a chance in the movies when he was offered to compose music for Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor-starrer ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ (2010) and ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster’ (2011). With the film, he also started his singing career with the song he composed for the film.

Ankit Tiwari was accused of alleged rape by his girlfriend:

Almost three years later, in 2017, the court cleared Ankit of all charges due to lack of evidence. Once he opened up how his life changed after those allegations:

In an interview with Navbharat Times Online, the ‘Galliyan’ singer opened up on how life changed after that. “I feel that there is something written in everyone’s fate. Maybe something else was written in my luck. It was a bad time, which was scary. For as many musicians as there are, I want to say one thing — They are very simple, they have innocence. That’s how music comes from inside them.

I am like that too. I have little to do with the world. Somewhere in that simplicity… it seems that someone can take advantage of it. But those things probably had to happen with me. It was a difficult time,” Ankit reflected on the same.

ANKIT TIWARI ON HIS STRUGGLING DAYS:

When Ankit Tiwari was asked about the hardships he faced in Mumbai, the singer told IndiaToday.in, “I have seen a lot [in my life]. I came to Mumbai from Kanpur. When a boy or girl comes to Mumbai [city of dreams], they come with dreams. And when they start things from scratch, vo jo takleefein sabko hoti hain, vaise hi takleef mujhe bhi hui [I faced the same problems as anyone who starts from scratch in Mumbai].”

How he met his wife Pallavi Shukla:

Tiwari married Pallavi Shukla as per Hindu rituals in Kanpur on 23 February 2018.Tiwari and Pallavi had an arranged marriage as both first met on the recommendation of Ankit’s grandmother.In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Ankit opened up about his first meeting with Pallavi Shukla. At that time, the singer said that his grandmother Ram Kumari Tiwari first met Pallavi on the train. She liked Pallavi so much that she ended up choosing her as a bride for her grandson.

After this, Ankit met Pallavi several times, and then their marriage was fixed with the consent of both the families. The couple got officially engaged on February 21. According to the reports published in the media, Ankit had made the conscious decision of choosing his grandmother’s choice as his life partner. The two are leading a very happy life now and Ankit is soaring higher than ever in his professional life.They had a baby girl on 28 December 2018.

Awards:

Ankit Tiwari has received several awards for many songs. He has won Guild Awards for Best Male Playback Singer for Sun Raha Hai Na Tu (Aashiqi 2) and won Best Music Director for Gaaliyan (Ek Villan) in 2014. He has also received BIG Star Entertainment Awards for Most Entertaining Music, Most Entertaining Song and Most Entertaining Singer For Ek Villan.

Apart from that he has won IIFA Awards, Mirchi Music Awards, Zee Cine Awards, Stardust Awards, and Screen Awards for his contributions to Music.
